The TF-2A-6U is a drop-in replacement for the following applications:
- Our TPP-4500DF-A dual fuel generators
- Most other generators and vertical engines that have an offset mounting pattern (see the picture below)
- GX 160, GX 200 and similar “clone” engines in open classes which permit use of any carburetors.
The TF-2A-6U uses our new TillotsonTCT fuel system technology to provide a substantial upgrade in performance to standard carburetors. It is our semi-universal configuration that can be used on gasoline-only and dual fuel engines. It is packaged with a variety of swap-able throttle and choke levers to fit a variety of applications. It can be used to replace Ruixing, Jingke, Huayi, Kinzo and Wisdom carburetors used on Chinese brand 5.5 – 6.5 (160-212 cc) engines commonly used on generators (Champion, Generac, and others), and Toro, MTD and other lawnmowers. For a boost in acceleration and horsepower, it can also be used on open class Honda GX160 and GX200 and Chinese “clone” racing engines where rules permit use of any carburetor. Check the bolt pattern and choke levers show in the pictures below for compatibility.

Compare your carburetor to the pictures below for compatibility. Check the direction and distance of the mounting bolt from the engine side of the carburetor (see chart below). Note that the air bleed and channel on the face of your carburetor may be on the opposite side as on the TillotsonTCT (see picture). That is ok; the TillotsonTCT will still be compatible. The TillotsonTCT does not fit Briggs & Stratton and some vertical Honda carburetors with a “side by side” bolt pattern. The TillotsonTCT also does not have a fuel cock like on some Honda carburetors. The fuel cock is not necessary on the TillotsonTCT, but if you desire one, you can add an in-line fuel valve.
This version is fully adjustable and may not be used on engines certified under EPA III standards. Our EPA III version will be released in the Spring of 2017.
