Clancy, Blair, and Claridge Jr Secure Victories at Tillotson Ireland Karting Championship Round 1
Kiltorcan Raceway played host to the opening round of the 2025 Tillotson Ireland Karting Championship over the weekend, with thrilling finals across all classes despite cloudy and dry conditions.
In the T4 Bambino final, Danny Clancy (#105) emerged victorious. Clancy started from pole position (GRDNAT not explicitly shown but implied by POS 1 and order) and maintained his lead throughout the six-lap race. PJ Bowes (#109) finished in second place, having started from second on the grid. Robby Lyons (#111) completed the top three, starting from fourth position. Danny Clancy also recorded the fastest lap in the T4 Bambino final.
*UNDER REVIEW* The IAME X30 Cadet final saw a close battle, with Charlie Blair (#602) taking the win. Blair started from pole position and held off a strong challenge. Sophie Campbell (#605) finished a very close second, having started third on the grid. Ethan Robinson (#606) secured third place, starting from seventh. Ian Carey achieved the fastest lap in the IAME X30 Cadet final.
Diarmuid Claridge Jr (#208) dominated the Tillotson T4 Mini final, taking first place. Claridge Jr started from pole position and led the majority of the race. Jack Fingleton (#211) finished second, starting alongside Claridge Jr on the front row. Harley Brereton (#206) made significant progress from sixth on the grid to finish third. Diarmuid Claridge Jr also set the fastest lap in the T4 Mini final.
The Tillotson T4 Senior 168 final was won by Niall Hurson (#501). Hurson started from pole position and maintained his lead. Colm Munnelly (#571) finished a close second, having started second on the grid. Kyle Kavanagh (#507) secured third place, starting from third. Kyle Kavanagh recorded the fastest lap in the T4 Senior 168 final.
In the Tillotson T4 Junior final, Eddie Somers Jnr (#302) claimed victory. Somers Jnr started from pole position. Joey Kearney (#306) finished a close second, having started second. Wesley Brereton (#305) completed the top three, starting third on the grid. Eddie Somers Jnr achieved the fastest lap in the T4 Junior final.
Aaron Coogan (#401) emerged as the winner of the Tillotson T4 Senior final. Coogan started from pole position and maintained his lead throughout the race. Warren Russell (#407) finished second, having started second. Jack Mackenzie-Smith (#417) secured third place, starting third on the grid. Aaron Coogan also set the fastest lap in the T4 Senior final.
The IAME X30 Junior final saw Tadgh Buckley (#701) take the top spot. Buckley started from pole position and led the race. Ben McCloughry (#712) finished second, making progress from fifth on the grid. Adam Holmes (#709) secured third place, having started second. Tadgh Buckley recorded the fastest lap in the X30 Junior final.
Finally, in the IAME X30 Senior final, Jack Buckley (#801) claimed victory. Buckley started from pole position and led the field. Luke Agnew (#806) finished second, starting second on the grid. Jack Dillon (#809) made significant progress from eighth on the grid to finish third. Jack Buckley also achieved the fastest lap in the X30 Senior final.
