The IAME KA100 is a 100cc reedjet engine developed to replace the Yamaha kart engine in Australia in 2014. The engine was originally fitted with our HL-398A carburetor and in 2016 IAME and the Australian Kart Federation have made the decision to upgrade the carburetor to the new HW-33A model. KA100 racing includes Senior and Junior classes, with the only difference being a simple exhaust manifold change. The IAME KA100 engine is easy to operate and maintain with long life between rebuilds and freshen-up maintenance. The bottom end of the engine has the robustness of a 125cc engine while the cylinder and head are made to 100cc specification, providing a relatively unstressed and reliable power plant. The engine weighs 22kg including all components and accessories and is compatible with all chassis.
